Job summary

Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced certified nursing assistant for the Med Surg Medicine unit. Responsibilities include assisting with vital signs, ADLs, and following the care plan under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Requirements: MD CNA license, BLS, CNA program completion, and strong English/computer skills. Night shifts with 36 hours weekly and every-other-weekend rotation. Salary range listed and benefits described.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Maryland CNA license required and must be on Maryland Registry.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Successful CNA program completion and CNA exam.
• Strong computer skills and ability to read/write English.
• Physical ability to perform lifting and turning.
• Experience in acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the RN.
• Receive report from the RN and document appropriately.
• Participate in department education and professional initiatives.
• Ensure a culture of safety and proper equipment handling.
