Job summary
Shady Grove Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living, and following care plans while maintaining a culture of safety.
The role requires Maryland CNA license, completion of CNA program and exam, BLS, good English, and physical ability.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- CNA program completion and CNA exam required.
- Maryland CNA license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Effective command of English (spoken and written).
- Physical ability to meet lifting/bending requirements.
- Experience in acute care preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
- Follow care plans as established by the Registered Nurse.
- Participate in department and organizational education programs.
- Maintain a culture of safety and report equipment issues.
- Ensure work areas and equipment are clean and properly stored.
- Receive and relay patient reports from the RN.
