Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant. This role supports patient care under RN supervision, handles vital signs, and assists with activities of daily living, while contributing to a culture of safety and professional development.

The position requires Maryland CNA licensure, completion of CNA program, BLS, and strong English skills, with shifts including 3-12s and every other weekend/holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA License required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong command of English (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet lifting, bending and turning requirements.
• Experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plan as established by RN and report to RN.
• Participate in department and organizational education programs and professional initiatives.
• Maintain safety culture and report equipment malfunction or expiration.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored properly.
