Adventist HealthCare’s Shady Grove Medical Center seeks an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for the Med Surg/Ortho unit. You’ll perform vital signs and ADL assistance under supervision, following the care plan and reporting to the RN.

The role requires Maryland CNA licensure, BLS, and strong English communication. The position includes nights (3x12s), full-time hours, and a comprehensive benefits package with retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA license required and must be on Maryland Registry.
• Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant by the State of Maryland.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Strong computer skills and proficient in reading/writing English.
• Physical ability to meet lifting, bending and turning requirements.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Follow care plans established by the RN.
• Receive report from the RN and ensure a culture of safety.
• Identify resources needed for safe patient care and report malfunctions.
• Participate in department education programs and committees.
