Capitol Imaging Services, a leading imaging provider, is seeking a Part Time Patient Coordinator at our Vestavia Hills center. You will guide patients from scheduling through the visit, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.

The ideal candidate brings healthcare office experience, HIPAA knowledge, and exceptional communication. This role requires strong organizational skills and proficiency with scheduling software and EMR systems in a patient-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting (1–2 years).
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments; explain coverage details to patients.
• Monitor daily schedule, backfill cancellations to maintain efficiency.
• Serve as first point of contact for patients, answering calls and guiding them empathetically.
• Enter patient data into EMR and maintain up-to-date records.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Provide a warm, welcoming environment and address patient concerns professionally.
