Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services (Diagnostic Imaging Services) is seeking a Patient Coordinator for Saturdays only. The role focuses on scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication to ensure a smooth visit from scheduling to completion.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a healthcare setting, familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA, and strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with EMR and scheduling software is preferred, with a compassionate, patient-focused

Qualifications

Minimum 1–2 years in a healthcare or medical office setting.
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance processes, and HIPAA regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule imaging appointments with attention to facility resources.
Confirm insurance eligibility and communicate coverage details to patients.
Monitor daily schedule and backfill open slots for efficiency.
Serve as the first point of contact for patients via calls and inquiries with empathy.
Accurately input patient data into the EMR and maintain up-to-date records.
Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
