Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's UP Health System Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide to provide personal care and support for individuals in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor client condition, and help maintain a safe, comfortable environment as part of a dedicated care team.

You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; CPR is preferred, with 6+ months home care experience encouraged.

Qualifications

Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
6+ months of home care experience
Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
