Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide daily living and personal care in patients' homes according to an established care plan.

You will assist with baths, dressing, mobility, vital signs, and safety, while documenting changes for the supervising nurse. This part-time role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful in-home care.

Qualifications

• Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given
• Possess and maintain CPR certification as required by state regulations
• PPD or chest X-ray if applicable
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program

Responsibilities

• Assist with baths, oral hygiene, dressing, toileting and feeding according to care plan
• Take and record vital signs as ordered (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP)
• Support safe transfers and ambulation
• Execute prescribed exercises and range of motion as directed
• Perform extensional therapy activities as ordered
• Handle patient laundry and maintain cleanliness
• Meet safety needs and use equipment safely
• Observe and document patient condition and report changes to nurse
• Communicate clearly with patient, family and office
