Job summary

The Lakes Home Care, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to provide daily living and personal care in patients' homes, following an established care plan and maintaining dignity and comfort.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, meal support, and safety, while documenting care and communicating with family and supervising nurses. Part-time schedule with flexible hours available.

Qualifications

• Meets all training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws when applicable.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintains current CPR certification in accordance with state regulation.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Successful completion of Maxim screening examinations.
• Participation and completion of Maxim’s competency program.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with and per plan of care: baths, oral hygiene, dressing, Toileting, feeding.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.
• Safe transfer and ambulation techniques.
• Exercise according to the plan of care.
• Perform ROM and other simple procedures as ordered (extensional therapy).
• Assist with patient’s laundry.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
• Observe and teach home safety practices.
• Recognize emergencies and follow emergency management procedures.
• Follow patients’ plan of care and complete all tasks assigned.
• Communicate clearly with client, family/caregiver and office.
• Observe and report changes to the assigned nurse supervisor.
