ProSphere Tek, Inc. is seeking a Referral Clerk to support a Military Treatment Facility by handling referral and appointment coordination and delivering professional patient service.

The role requires US citizenship, a high school diploma, basic medical terminology knowledge, and experience with electronic health records. This on-site position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and timely processing of referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen.
• One year of administrative experience in a medical setting.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Able to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation and badge.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with referral questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments per MTF guidelines.
• Process routine, urgent, and emergent referrals within timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurers when services aren’t available at the MTF.
• Maintain accurate referral documentation in required systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures and timelines.
• Provide professional, courteous service while protecting patient confidentiality.
