Job summary

QuarterLine is seeking a Referral Management Center Specialist to support care at a Military Treatment Facility. The role focuses on handling referrals, coordinating appointments with clinicians, and ensuring accurate documentation in the MHS GENESIS system.

The ideal candidate will provide professional customer service to patients and staff, maintain confidentiality, and follow established timeframes for processing routine, urgent, and emergent referrals.

Qualifications

• US Citizen is required.
• One year of administrative experience in a medical setting.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and assist patients and staff with referral questions.
• Review and process referrals for completeness and eligibility.
• Schedule and reschedule specialty appointments per MTF guidelines.
• Process routine, urgent, and emergent referrals within timeframes.
• Coordinate referrals with outside providers or insurance when needed.
• Maintain accurate referral documentation in MHS GENESIS and other systems.
• Educate patients on referral procedures, timelines and appointments.
• Provide professional customer service while protecting patient confidentiality.
