Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the PCP, greet and room members, and assist with routine diagnostic testing. The MA-Float may be asked to provide coverage outside of their primary center to ensure patient care continuity.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, at least 1 year of MA experience, BLS, and EMR experience (EClinical Works or similar). Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EMR experience with EClinical Works or similar system.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measuring vital signs, taking medical history, and performing routine screenings.
• Engage with patients throughout appointments and report changes to the PCP or specialists.
• Process patient phone messages, return calls, and route information to the team.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and perform first aid under supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and accurate documentation at all times.
• Provide health coaching to defined patients and follow up weekly.
