Job summary

ArchWell Health seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the PCP team, greet and room members, and assist with routine diagnostic testing during appointments. The MA-Float may cover centers outside the primary location.

You will work with care teams to deliver compassionate primary care, manage patient communications, and help maintain efficient workflow while adhering to safety and documentation standards.

Qualifications

• > Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• > Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable training.
• > At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• > 6+ months phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
• > BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• > Experience with EClinical Works or similar EMR.
• > Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, patient interview, and medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings.
• Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changes in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel.
• Perform all tasks with a focus on patient experience, including processing of patient messages, returning calls, routing calls, and relaying pertinent information.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills, when necessary, under physician supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and proper documentation at all times.
• Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients with weekly follow-ups.
