Job summary

Our team in Fremont is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. You will greet families, answer questions, and assist with services while ensuring compassionate, professional conduct.

This role includes set-up for services, preparing documents, and coordinating with management. A high school diploma and customer service experience are preferred; MS Office proficiency and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred; MS Office and databases experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services: arrange floral items, chairs, caskets, urns, photos; store items properly.
• Prepare documents related to services and maintenance; assist with cremations per law and policy.
• Assist with preparation of remains including dressing and lifting; operate crematory as permitted.
• Handle office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line system, debit card machine, etc.
• Run errands for floral delivery and supplies; assist with visitation, chapel setup, and family items.
