Job summary

Service Corporation International Bellflower, CA seeks a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and public-facing support for funeral operations and ceremonies. You will answer questions, assist families, and help with services while upholding our mission and policies.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, customer service experience, and proficiency with MS Office and databases. A valid driver's license is required; part-time benefits may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by arranging floral items, chairs, caskets, urns and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance as directed.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties including phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system and related tasks.
• Greets client families and supports visitation, chapel setup and other service needs.
• May drive Funeral Home vehicles and assist with transportation for families.
