Job summary

S.E. Combined Services of Florida in Fremont, CA is seeking a Part-time Funeral Services Assistant to support operations, assist with service preparations, and provide compassionate customer service to grieving families during visitations and ceremonies.

You will handle delivering and setting up floral arrangements and mementos, assist with clerical tasks, drive funeral home vehicles when required, greet families, and help with paperwork while following company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services to include delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance, as directed by management.
• Assist with respectful preparation of remains and related duties in keeping with regulations.
• Greets and assists client families entering the office for information and assistance.
• Assists with visitations, chapel setup, dressing remains, and delivering family items and flowers.
• May drive funeral home vehicles and run errands as needed.
• Performs office duties including phones, fax, and basic clerical tasks.
