Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and front-desk support for funeral operations in Ontario, CA. The role includes greeting families, assisting at services, and coordinating details under management supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior customer service experience preferred, and a valid California driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and databases; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, and keepsakes.
• Prepare service documents for arrangements, cremations, and maintenance.
• Assist with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as allowed by law.
• Perform office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit card, postage, scale, stereo/video system.
• Run errands for flowers, supplies, documents, etc.
• Act as usher, may park cars or handle transportation needs.
