Job summary

Legacy Funeral Group in the United States is seeking a Part-time Funeral Assistant/Attendant to support funeral directors and families during services, memorials, and related events.

You will assist with dignified transport and care of the deceased, attend to administrative tasks, and help with setup, greetings, and coordination. The role requires lift/pull of heavy loads and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office and willing to learn others.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 200 lbs.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist funeral directors and with services as needed.
• Prepare decedents and arrange items for services.
• Answer phones and handle administrative tasks.
• Transport and drive funeral home vehicles when required.
• Greet families and assist during visitations and services.
• Work beyond typical hours including evenings, weekends, holidays.
