Legacy Funeral Group, LLC is seeking a Part-time Funeral Assistant / Attendant in Birmingham, AL. You will support funeral directors and assist with funeral, memorial, and other services, while performing administrative tasks and greeting families.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, ability to use a computer and MS Office, and a valid driver's license. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional heavy removals, with availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office; willingness to learn other software.
• Valid state driver's license with good driving record.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work with others and maintain confidentiality.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 200 lbs if required.
• Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist funeral directors and arrange for services.
• Assist with dignified transport and care of the deceased, including removals and preparation.
• Provide administrative support and answer phones.
• Greet families and provide information and support.
• Drive company vehicles as needed.
• Assist with visitations, memorials, and services.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
• Work beyond standard hours as needed.
