Legacy Funeral Group, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Funeral Assistant to support funeral directors and assist with services, transportation, and office tasks. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to push/pull up to 200 pounds for removals, with a valid driver's license and excellent communication with families.

The position offers involvement in removals, dressing and casketing preparations, and coordinating with staff to ensure compassionate care for families during services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and willingness to learn other software is required.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work and communicate effectively with others.
• Able to maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and pull/push 200lbs or more of removals if required.
• Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with removals of decedents and preparation for services.
• Prepare for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Answer phones and perform office duties and basic clerical tasks.
• Drive company vehicles for services and family transportation.
• Greet families and provide information and support as needed.
• Coordinate with funeral directors and staff to ensure smooth services.
