Job summary

Legacy Funeral Group, LLC in Seguin, TX is seeking a Part-time Funeral Assistant to support funeral directors and assist with services, transportation, and family needs. The role also provides administrative support and courteous phones handling.

The position also involves administrative duties, greeting families, handling inquiries, and helping with chapel setup, removals, and arrangements. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required while upholding our standards of care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and willingness to learn other software is required.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work and communicate effectively with others.
• Able to maintain composure in challenging situations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and pull/push 200lbs or more of removals if required.
• Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Support funeral directors and assist with funeral, memorial, and other services when requested.
• Assist with dignified transport and care of the deceased, including removals and preparation activities.
• Provide administrative support, courteously answer phones, and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, and keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance as directed.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family transportation.
• Greet and assist client families and visitors, providing information and support as needed.
