Job summary

Legacy Funeral Group, LLC is seeking a part-time Funeral Assistant/Attendant to support funeral directors and assist with services, transport, and administrative tasks. You will help with removals, preparation, and family interactions, ensuring respectful, compassionate service.

Responsibilities include aiding with visitations, ceremonies, and vehicle transport, while handling client inquiries and maintaining confidentiality in a sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to use a computer and type.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and willingness to learn other software is required.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work and communicate effectively with others.
• Able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and pull/push 200lbs or more of removals if required.
• Able to pass a Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Support funeral directors and assist with funeral, memorial, and other services.
• Assist with dignified transport and care of the deceased, including removals.
• Prepare for services by handling floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, and keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services, cremations, and maintenance as directed.
• Perform office duties such as answering phones and operating devices.
• Run errands such as deliveries, supply pick-ups, and document drop-offs.
• Greet and assist client families, providing information and support as needed.
• Assist with visitations, memorials, and funeral services, including chapel setup.
