Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Sales Counselor in Detroit, MI to guide families through funeral and cemetery product decisions. The role combines consultative B2C sales, lead generation, and relationship building, with earnings driven by commissions and a base pay option.

Training is provided during the first six weeks, with travel and local outreach encouraged. You will manage a sales pipeline via inbound leads, walk-ins, referrals, and community events, while using HubSpot to track activity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in sales or related roles preferred.
• CRM experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• Bilingual/multilingual proficiency a plus.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement for travel.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and provide consultative guidance on funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through leads, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-in opportunities; follow up throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately; guide purchasing decisions and complete sales contracts.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, and opportunities; track activity and outcomes.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
• Partner with funeral home, cemetery, operations, and location leadership teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
