Job summary

Everstory Partners is seeking a Sales Counselor in Berkley, MI, to help families navigate funeral and cemetery decisions with compassionate guidance. The role blends consultative sales, B2C outreach, and local community engagement to build strong relationships.

You will meet with clients, present products, and manage a sales pipeline using HubSpot CRM. The position offers uncapped commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate, plus paid training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• CRM experience with HubSpot/Salesforce/Dynamics preferred.
• Must have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable in a commission-based, performance-driven environment.
• Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle for local appointments.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through leads, referrals, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound inquiries and walk-in opportunities with a consultative approach.
• Follow up with prospects to advance the sales process and close deals.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers, families, and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete required contracts.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, and sales opportunities.
• Attend funeral and memorial services as appropriate to support families.
• Partner with funeral home, cemetery, and operations teams to ensure positive customer experience.
