Job summary

Everstory Partners in Novi, MI is seeking a Sales Counselor who guides families through funeral and cemetery decisions. You will meet with clients, sell pre-need and at-need services, and build a strong pipeline through referrals, inbound leads, and community outreach.

This role offers uncapped commissions or a guaranteed minimum hourly rate, paid training during the first six weeks, and requires a valid driver's license with mileage reimbursement for local travel. Bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency is a plus, particularly Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog/Filipino, Vietnamese, or Arabic.
• One year of experience in sales or related relationship-based roles preferred.
• Experience using CRM software such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or Microsoft Dynamics preferred.
• Comfortable working in a commission-based, performance-driven sales environment.
• Strong sales communication, relationship-building, negotiation, consultative selling, and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with multiple leads and appointments.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand their needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers through lead generation and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads, inquiries, and walk-in opportunities.
• Follow up with prospective customers throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers and community members.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately.
• Guide customers through purchasing decisions and complete required contracts and documentation.
• Use HubSpot to manage leads, appointments, and sales opportunities.
