Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to welcome and assist patients at CityMD. You will register patients and coordinate with the team to ensure timely turnaround, handling questions with urgency and courtesy both in person and by phone.

The role involves accurate data entry, insurance verification, and maintaining smooth patient flow in a fast-paced setting. This is a patient-facing, front-desk position with a focus on exceptional service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience in high-volume/service environments preferred.
• Able to interact professionally with patients and staff.
• Bilingual skills preferred based on location.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and welcoming patients
• Coordinating patient intake and appointments
• Entering/updating patient information in system
• Assisting patients with completion of paperwork
• Scanning, updating and filing medical records
• Answering phone calls in a prompt and polite manner
• Processing medical insurance information and verifying eligibility
• Handling cash and co-payments accurately
• Providing outstanding customer service to every patient
• Informing site manager of waiting room wait times and inquiries
