PossAbility, LLC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Illinois to help people with diverse abilities live independently and with quality of life. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered assistance and advocacy.

You will support daily living tasks, assist with transportation, and help clients engage with their community while upholding dignity and safety. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Direct Care experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with IDD and TBI.
• Minimum of 1 year of In-Home Care experience.
• Be able to assist with daily living tasks, household management, meals, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support and advocacy to clients.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, and ADLs/IADLs while maintaining dignity.
• Facilitate community involvement and accessibility to appointments and activities.
• Ensure medication adherence, meal preparation per dietary needs, and a clean living environment.
• Document services, health status, and progress accurately.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and report changes promptly.
