Job summary

PossAbility, LLC in Illinois seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help people with diverse abilities live independently and maintain a good quality of life. DSPs provide daily tasks, emotional support, and advocate for their clients.

You will work on person-centered support, compliance, communication, teamwork, and ongoing professional growth, including HIPAA, mandated reporting, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Direct Care experience with IDD and TBI.
• Active Direct Support Professional (DSP) and HCWR training required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with ADLs/IADLs while maintaining client dignity.
• Facilitate community involvement, social inclusion, and independence.
• Assist with scheduling, transportation, and facilitating job hunting or employment.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and report changes promptly.
• Act as mandated reporter for abuse/neglect/exploitation.
