Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services in Amesbury, MA seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our residential group home team. Roles include residential skills instruction and awake overnight support, with responsibilities such as daily living assistance, documentation, and transportation using wheelchair vans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; readable English.
• Experience in training, case management and service delivery for adults with IDD.
• MAP Certification; training available within 6 months.
• CPR/First Aid; training available within 3 months.
• Valid driver's license; at least 1 year driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities: hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming.
• Transfer to appointments and community events; drive wheelchair van.
• Complete ISP and daily logs; track behavioral data.
• Administer medications; maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide companionship, mentorship and redirect behaviors.
• Maintain a clean, safe residential program while upholding residents' rights.
• Manage staff-to-resident ratios; assist with home management tasks.
