Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Andover, MA, for group home duties and Awake Overnight shifts. You will assist individuals with ADLs, transportation, and medication administration while maintaining documentation and promoting independence.

The role requires empathy, reliability, and strong communication. Benefits include health/dental/vision, retirement plan, and paid time off. Training provided for MAP and CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Read/write/understand English to follow care plans.
• Experience with adults with IDD preferred.
• MAP certification to be obtained within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, and transfers.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities using wheelchair vans.
• Complete ISP and daily logs, track behavioral data.
• Administer medications as assigned and maintain documentation.
• Provide companionship, mentoring and redirect challenging behaviors.
