Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals in Methuen, MA to assist adults with daily living activities in a group-home setting. Responsibilities include ADLs, medication administration, transportation, and documenting progress in ISP logs, with an emphasis on safety and dignity.

Positions offer non-exempt hours with benefits for full- and part-time roles. Training for MAP and CPR/First Aid is provided, and a valid driver’s license is required for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English to follow care plans, document services
• Experience in training, case management and appropriate service delivery to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in the community
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) Certification; training is offered within 6 months
• CPR/First Aid; training is offered within 3 months
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing with a minimum of one year of driving experience

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene assistance, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming, transferring, and meal preparation
• Able and willing to assist with heavy lifting and driving wheelchair accessible company vans
• Transport individuals to appointments, community events, or recreational activities
• Complete Individual Support Plans (ISP) and daily logs, track behavioral data
• Assist with medication administration and maintain accurate documentation
• Provide companionship, mentorship, and redirecting behaviors
