Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services in Amesbury, MA is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide essential daily living assistance in a group home setting. You will support individuals with activities of daily living, document care, and transport them to appointments and community events.

The role includes medication administration support, creating ISP records, and ensuring safety in a residential program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; must be able to read, write, and comprehend English to follow care plans and document services.
• Experience providing training, case management, and services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in the community.
• MAP and CPR/First Aid trainings offered by Waystone or within 6 months/3 months of employment respectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, feeding, dressing, grooming, transfers, and meal prep.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities using wheelchair-accessible vans.
• Complete ISP and daily logs; track behavioral data.
• Provide medication administration support and maintain documentation.
