Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three (3) months of hire.
• Read, write and understand English and communicate with patients, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Exhibit honesty, integrity, and caring aligned with MercyOne values.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients and ensure efficient admitting per policies.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Schedule appointments per office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information and collect copays/deductibles.
• Scan and upload patient documents into the electronic medical record.
