Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three months.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within three months.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with patient information.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients and ensure admitting processes are efficient and compliant.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductibles.
• Copy/scan patient-related materials into the EHR and other systems.
