Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification within three months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and understand English and communicate effectively with patient, visitors, and colleagues.
• Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality when dealing with patient information.
• Must possess a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity and caring aligned with Trinity Health values.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and manage front desk traffic with professionalism.
• Check-in patients and complete steps for efficient admitting in compliance with policies.
• Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately.
• Schedule appointments according to office guidelines.
• Obtain accurate patient and insurance information and collect copays and deductibles.
• Copy/scan patient access related materials into the EMR correctly.
