Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to our patients during their recovery journey. You will spend time with patients, supervise safety, document observations, and respond to crises using de-escalation techniques, all within a nationally recognized care network.

The role is part-time and on-site in Wisconsin with Sunday–Saturday shifts and compensation at $16/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum age 21.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when driving is assigned.
• Experience in behavioral health or related settings preferred.
• Certification in behavioral health preferred; ability to remain professional under stress.
• Strong observation, communication and documentation skills; teamwork mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Monitor behavior, document observations, and report concerns.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation techniques and follow protocols.
• Maintain facility rules and a respectful therapeutic approach.
• Measure vitals when assigned and supervise medications where allowed.
• Assist admissions/discharges and support daily treatment activities.
• Collaborate with clinical and operations staff to ensure safe care.
