Job summary

Banyan Treatment Center is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to deliver essential peer and operational support to patients in recovery. You will be with patients most of the time, fostering trust, ensuring safety, and coordinating with clinical staff to maintain a caring environment.

The role reports to the Director of Operations and offers a part-time schedule with two 12-hour shifts weekly, on-site in Milford.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• An associate's degree or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient Supervision and Safety: Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and communicate with medical staff for attention needs.
• Waive Testing: Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with company policies.
• Patient Interaction and Support: Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support, referring clinical concerns to therapy staff.
• Communication and Team Collaboration: Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader and Supervisor/Operations Director while collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality care.
• Daily Program and Facility Management: Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities; ensure facility safety and manage discharge preparations.
