Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Milford, Delaware is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support during patients' recovery journey. The role emphasizes supervision, safety, and compassionate care, with two 12-hour shifts per week.

You will report to the Director of Operations, assist in transportation and group activities, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patient Supervision and Safety: Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and communicate with medical staff for attention needs.
• Waive Testing: Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with company policies.
• Patient Interaction and Support: Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support, referring clinical concerns to therapy staff.
• Communication and Team Collaboration: Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader and work with the team to ensure high-quality care.
• Daily Program and Facility Management: Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities; supervise supplies and discharge preparations.
