Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to patients during recovery. You will spend significant time with patients, fostering trust and ensuring safety while supporting staff. Role reports to the Director of Operations.

Schedule is part-time, 3 PM–11 PM with weekend availability in Gulf Breeze, FL. Prior experience in addiction or behavioral health is preferred; an associate's degree or higher is

Qualifications

• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Patient Supervision and Safety: Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and communicate with medical staff for attention needs.
• Waive Testing: Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with company policies.
• Patient Interaction and Support: Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support, referring clinical concerns to therapy staff.
• Communication and Team Collaboration: Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader, Supervisor/Operations Director while collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality care.
• Daily Program and Facility Management: Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities.
