Job summary

Minnewaska Community Health Services is seeking a part-time Care Attendant to provide personal care and health-related services for residents. You will work under the Housing Manager, performing care tasks and reporting changes to nursing staff.

The role requires basic English literacy and joining in Dementia training as required by facility policies. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• ACNA/NAR or HHA certificate preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English, and pass a state background study.
• Experience with elderly care is favorable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal cares: hair washing, showers, lotions, nails and daily living activities.
• Assist with dressing, grooming and oral care as assigned.
• Assist residents with hearing aids and glasses and promote independence.
• Follow care plans, document changes in condition and report to RN.
• Assist with medication administration under RN direction.
