Job summary

OATS Transit is a Missouri nonprofit transportation provider hiring drivers to serve seniors, individuals with disabilities, and rural riders. You will operate mini-vans, Ford Transits or a wide-body bus, assist riders on/off, and ensure safety and comfort while performing pre/post-trip checks using a tablet.

Requirements include a CDL (Class E) or CDL with ≤4 points, ability to pass a DOT physical and drug tests, and the stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 23 years old.
• CDL license (Class E) or CDL with clean driving record (no more than 4 points).
• Pass a U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must take and pass drug screening and participate in random testing.
• Bondable requirement.
• Experience with in-vehicle tablets is a plus.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes in minivans, Ford Transits or a wide-body bus.
• Assist riders on and off the vehicle with respect and courtesy.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices safely.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Complete required paperwork and submit timely to regional office.
• Attend routine paid training and comply with regulations.
