Job summary

OATS Transit, a Missouri-based non-profit transportation provider, is hiring drivers for routes across the state. You will operate mini-vans, Ford Transits, or a wide body bus, assisting riders with dignity and safety.

Key responsibilities include vehicle inspections, securing mobility devices, completing paperwork, and attending paid trainings. A Class E or CDL license, DOT testing, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required. This role emphasizes reliability and community service.

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 23 years old.
• Class E or CDL license required with no more than 4 points.
• Able to pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
• Must pass drug screening and undergo random testing.
• Bondable and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be comfortable using a computer tablet in the vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive assigned routes on mini-vans, Ford Transits or wide body buses.
• Assist riders on and off the vehicle with courtesy and respect.
• Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices per procedures.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
• Complete required paperwork and submit to the regional office timely.
• Attend routine paid training and comply with rules.
