Job summary

OATS Transit in Missouri is hiring drivers to operate mini-vans, Ford Transits and wide body buses for a non-profit community transportation provider. You will assist riders, conduct pre/post-trip inspections, and use an in-vehicle tablet to receive trip information and update schedules.

This is a non-exempt, hourly position with multiple benefits and a need for flexibility to cover various routes. Safety, courtesy, and reliability are essential in serving seniors, individuals with disabilities,

Qualifications

Must be a minimum of 23 years of age.
CDL license with no more than 4 points.
Must pass U.S. DOT physical and road test.
Must pass drug screening and undergo random drug/alcohol testing.
Bondable.
Ability to use a computer tablet in vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

Operate assigned vehicle (mini-van, Ford Transit, or wide body bus) and transport riders safely and respectfully.
Assist riders on and off the vehicle.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices as required.
Complete required paperwork and submit to regional office timely.
