Job summary

Havenpark Communities is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to be the heartbeat of our community. You will be the operational wizard and friendly face ensuring smooth daily operations and that residents feel at home.

As the right-hand to the Community Manager, you will handle events, rent collection coordination, move-ins, and collaboration with sales and maintenance teams—driving resident satisfaction and stable finances across our Iowa City community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in property management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
• Ability to sit for long periods and lift supplies; mobility around the community.
• Annual or semi-annual travel may be required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Build a Welcoming Atmosphere by addressing resident needs with care.
• Plan and host community events to foster belonging.
• Escalate issues appropriately to the Community Manager.
• Prepare bills and statements and ensure rent collection on time.
• Coordinate paperwork for move-ins and lease renewals.
• Manage work orders to complete maintenance within 48 hours.
