Job summary

YES Communities in Des Moines, IA seeks a seasoned Community Manager to lead daily operations, manage rent collection, budgeting, and asset protection while guiding a dedicated team.

You will serve as the main communication link for residents, resolve complaints, coordinate leasing and turnover, and collaborate with vendors and local authorities to maintain high occupancy and safety across our communities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.
• Strong leadership and the ability to manage team performance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry software.
• Must obtain or transfer state licensing within 90 days of employment.
• In-state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily community operations including evictions, rent collections, resident relations, budget maintenance, and asset protection.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members.
• Conduct regular team meetings to reinforce expectations and foster growth.
• Manage marketing, leasing, turnover, and property occupancy to ensure ongoing success.
• Build positive relationships with vendors and local authorities.
• Plan and coordinate community events to maintain a positive environment.
• Coordinate with residents to uphold property standards.
• Attend company meetings, trainings, and conferences as requested.
• Coordinate home delivery and setup, and handle warranty follow-ups.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
