Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a dedicated Community Manager to supervise daily operations at an assigned property and ensure full regulatory compliance. You’ll manage leasing, certifications, and tenant relations while coordinating with Compliance, Construction, and Regional teams.

The role requires 3+ years in property management, COS/CPO certification, and experience with Yardi/RealPage. Competitive salary and benefits are offered, with on-site responsibilities and a focus on affordable housing

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of management experience including supervising a team.
• COS (Certified Occupancy Specialist) or CPO (Certified Professional of Occupancy) certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• EIV experience.
• Yardi and Realpage experience preferred.
• TCS certification for tax credit properties.
• Experience in Affordable Housing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the property and ensure on-site compliance.
• Coordinate leasing activities in line with HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA requirements.
• Prepare site reviews, MORs, LIHTC reviews, and annual/interim recertifications.
• Handle tenant inquiries, arrears, and coordinate evictions as needed.
• Monitor budgets, report building needs, and liaise with construction teams.
• Supervise maintenance, coordinate vendor bids, and conduct unit inspections.
• Attend monthly financial catch-ups and ensure property performance targets are met.
