Job summary

Fairstead is seeking a Community Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, on-site compliance, and overall property performance at one of our properties. The role focuses on leasing compliance, regulatory reporting, and resident relations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of management experience, COS/CPO certification, and experience with HUD and LIHTC programs, along with proficiency in Yardi/RealPage and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Three years of management experience including supervising a team.
• COS or CPO certification.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• EIV experience.
• Yardi and RealPage experience preferred.
• TCS certification for tax credit properties.
• Experience in Affordable Housing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure leasing compliance with HUD, Fair Housing, ADA, and FCRA.
• Remains knowledgeable in HUD 4350.3 Handbook.
• Develops responses to regulatory agencies with Compliance.
• Implements intervention strategies with Regional Managers and Compliance for non-compliant tenants.
• Prepares REAC reviews, MOR, LIHTC reviews, and recertifications.
• Assist tenants with requests, questions, problems, and complaints.
• Monitor arrears and litigation; document lease violations and coordinate evictions.
• Direct collection of rents and late fees; pursue delinquencies through legal action.
• Attend monthly financial catch-up meetings and monitor budgets.
