Job summary

Avanath Capital Management, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep residential properties in good repair and visually appealing while delivering excellent resident service. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance, respond to emergencies, and support make-ready processes for new move-ins.

The role requires reliability, teamwork, and strong communication in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience is highly desired.
• Hands-on maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is highly desired; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Superior customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer knowledge: Windows, Word, Excel, internet, and e-mail.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service with every interaction and deliver high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance while diagnosing and repairing issues per safety standards and code requirements.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and securing supplies.
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and upkeep.
• Support cost-containment by repairing rather than replacing where feasible and notify management of safety concerns.
• Follow material access procedures and track inventory; reorder supplies as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies, complete required trainings, and report accidents promptly.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and Fair Housing guidelines.
