Job summary

Avanath Capital is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our multifamily properties in excellent condition and provide outstanding resident service. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and complete routine maintenance to preserve curb appeal and safety.

You will also handle the make-ready process for vacant units, assist with grounds upkeep, and participate in safety training to ensure compliance with policies and codes.

Qualifications

• 2 years of multifamily maintenance experience.
• Hands-on maintenance skills across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, pools, and appliances.
• EPA Type II or Universal certification; CPO is a plus.
• Availability to be on-call to address emergencies.
• Reliable transportation.
• Superior customer service and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service with every interaction and delivers high-quality maintenance service.
• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property by diagnosing defects and repairing per safety standards.
• Make-ready vacant apartment homes for leasing by inspecting, listing repairs, scheduling vendors, and ensuring tasks are completed.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Assist in cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and by managing materials carefully.
• Track inventory, return unused items, and report re-ordering needs to maintenance supervisor.
