Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist in San Francisco to manage leasing, marketing, and resident relations at the community. The role requires professionalism, strong engagement with residents and staff, and the ability to work with vendors and partners to foster a positive community.

The incumbent should have 2+ years in sales or customer relations, with preferred experience in affordable housing and tax credits, and be bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Low-Income Housing & Tax Credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual English & Spanish highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge: Windows (Word, Excel), internet, and e-mail.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management Software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and communicate service needs to the Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community features and close the sale.
• Have the prospect complete the application and collect a deposit.
• Update availability reports and process applications for approvals.
• Ensure apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up with prospects who did not close and refer to sister communities when needed.
• Sign leases, orient new residents, and assist renewals.
• Maintain resident files and distribute notices.
• Type leases and input data in Yardi accurately.
